The Residency Review Committee’s aim is to promote, encourage and recognise high standards of education, training and research in the field of Ophthalmology. This is an integral part of the role of the EBO in harmonising training across Europe. The Residency Review Committee should be seen as a source of guidance and support to units aspiring to reach the standards required. Departments that fulfill the criteria are awarded a Diploma. It is hoped that many units in each European state will be awarded the Diploma. This process should encourage exchanges and collaboration between departments of equally high calibre. Applications for EBO Centre Accreditation can be found in our downloads section
