Mission & Duties

The mission of the Executive Committee is to provide as strong, functioning and democratic European Board. The Duties of the Executive Committee consist in organising the General Assembly, the activities of the Board, and to implement all decisions of the Council.

The Executive Committee meets at least twice a year. The meetings are called by the President or the Secretary General. The Committee regularly organises a Winter meeting in January after elections to facilitate the start of the new team, a Spring meeting jointly with each Committee in May at the site of the EBO Diploma Examination,
a Summer meeting jointly with the Council and optionally an Autumn meeting jointly with each Committee in October at the site of the European Vision and Eye Research Association (EVER) meeting. Otherwise, business is conducted by e-mail.
